Here's Snowball, my flame-point siamese mix cat. Can you see his blue eyes that are crossed? The other picture is of my striking torti cat Kimmie, who has owl-like eyes. I thought I would take their photos since they were looking awfully cute while I was adding the previous post to my blog. On the rights side of my blog is Maukie, the virtual cat. If you click on him he moves his head. When you put the curser or his stomach he purrs, and on his head he meows. Pretty realistic!

Valentine treat box and calenders
I used an Accucut box die to make valentine treat boxes for friends and co-workers. I texturized the top of the box with the Cuttlebug conversations heart embossing folder, which you can't really see from the photo. It contains conversation hearts with some modern-day sayings, such as "lol" and "txt me." As you can see I added a cute cat in an envelope to the top of the box. Of course, candy will be added to the boxes. :) The calenders will be given to a few special cat-lovers in my life, such as fellow volunteers at the STAF shelter. The calenders were freebies from a local pharmacy that I decorated with a cute kitty and "meow" sayings.
Stuffed Kitties
In addition to making cat cards, I occasionally make stuffed cats. I have several different styles that I can make. I sold several cats at the December STAF shelter open house. At the time, I took several special orders and I just now got around to making the cats. One woman ordered the tall back and grey cats, and someone else ordered the small grey cat. Glad they are finally done, as I have not been in much of a mood to sew.

CHA Relay Contest- Day 4
Meet Prince Ian, the final free digi contest image. When I saw Prince Ian, I immediately thought of the fleur de lis pattern. For this card, I used my Spellbinders Fleur De Lis pendant die as a backdrop for Ian. I also used a metal crown charm and half pearls to further add to the regal feeling. The crown charm was very shiny, so I toned it down by rubbing it with black Stazon ink. The papers I used are: Perfect Plum, Soft Suede, and Basic Grey's Wisteria paper pad. Unfortuantely, The Greeting Farm decided to end the relay contest today, due to an overwhelming response that continued to crash their server. I hate to see the relay contest win, but I received four new digital images and had fun while it lasted.

CHA Relay- Day 3
Today is day 3 of The Greeting Farm digi contest. Meet Toby Cub! Toby is wearing a diaper, so I thought to cover it up, I would have him hold a giant heart and be Toby the Valentine Cub. I colored him with Copic markers and cut out the hearts and background shape with Nestabilities. I used a Martha Stewart heart punch on the border paper and several rhinestones for bling. I just tried to upload this card onto TGF's website, but it has crashed again. Hopefully, it will be up and running soon. Stay tuned for tomorrow's free digi....

CHA Relay Contest- Day 2
Here's The Greeting Farm's digital image for contest day 2. Meet Charlotte, she is such a hip young girl! For this card I used Basic Grey's Origins designer paper along with Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, and Yo Yo Yellow. I colored Charlotte with Copic markers and added glossy accents to her headband to make it look like plastic. The funny thing is that after I got done coloring her I realized that she looks an awful lot like someone I work with. Same hairstyle, skin color, and sense of style. I may have to give this card to her. Amazingly, The Greeting Farm had so many contest photo uploads today that their gallery site crashed. Fortunately, it's up and running again. Looking forward for tomorrow's digi...

CHA Relay Contest- Day 1
The Greeting Farm is having a digital download relay contest this week. Each day they have a new unreleased digital download available. If you make a card and turn it in on the time the following day, you will continue to receive the free downloads. If you keep this up all week, you will end up with six free digital downloads. Today's image is called "Mer Ian." Ian as a mermaid? I didn't know there were male mermaids. In fact, I'm not even sure if there are female mermaids. Sea and water themes are always a challenge for me, so I usually avoid them. I decided to give this one a shot so I can continue with the week-long contest. For the background I stamped several sea images then colored them in and inked the top half in blue. Ian has some glitter in his hair and on his tail, as all mermaids should be sparkly. Can't wait to see what the next download will be.
