Simple Poinsettia

I made this card for CC299 at Splitcoaststampers.  We were to use Real Red, Old Olive, and River Rock.  The poinsettia stamp is from the "Seasonal Poinsettias" stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers.  I stamped the flower onto River Rock card stock then colored it with Copic markers.  I also used Real Red and off white paper, which was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  I completed the card by paper piercing around the circle and adding a piece of Old Olive ribbon.  I am also entering this in the Stampin B's holiday card challenge #86.

Santa Kitty

I made this card for SC307 at Splitcoaststampers.  The sentiment and images are from the Doodle Pantry.  The hat and presents are new releases.  Through the magic of computers, I put the hat on the kitty and placed the presents next to him.  I colored the kitty with Copics then added Stickles to his hat.  The papers used are Scarlett Red from Mark's Finest Papers and patterned papers by October Afternoon.  I completed the card by adding a ribbon from Stampin Up and using a Fiskars winter border punch on the lower portion of the card.  This card will be going to one of my fellow cat-loving friends!

Winter Cardinal

I made this card for two challenges: SC305 at Splitcoaststampers and challenge #30 at Speedy the Cat's Friends- use a circle.  The stamps used here are from the "Greetings of the Season" set by Mark's Finest Papers.  I used green card stocks from MFP and the Wassail paper pad from Basic Grey.  I colored the cardinal in Copics then added border of pine made with a Martha Stewart punch.  I completed the card by adding the sentiment and cutting it out with a circle punch.

Kitty and Doggie Thanksgiving

A fellow shelter volunteer asked me to make 45 Thanksgiving cards for her to give to some of the other volunteers.  She wanted 3 dog cards and 42 cat cat cards!  Because I had to make so many cards, I decided to keep them as clean and simple as possible.  The dog stamp is from Serendipity Stamps, and the cat and wheat stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers.  The sentiments are also from Mark's Finest Papers.  The papers used are Crumb Cake and Dusty Durango from Stampin Up.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the main panel and added a small piece of gingham ribbon to finish of the cards.

Today, we are celebrating the release of "Christmas Postage Due" and "Bold & Free."
For this card, I used the "Christmas Postage Due" stamp set.  It was hard to decide what stamps to use, as this set has so many awesome stamps.  I decided upon the Santa stamp and the Ho! sentiment.  I stamped the Santa image with Versamark then embossed it with black embossing powder.  I colored Santa with Copic markers, and used a Sizzix embossing folder for the white background panel.  I made the sentiment by stamping Ho! three times then mounting them onto punched circles.  I completed the card by adding a piece of Stampin Up Riding Hood Red ribbon and a holly leaf made with a Martha Stewart punch.

For this card, I used the "Bold & Free" stamp set.  I used the buffalo image and one of the sentiments.  I embossed a piece of Hazelnut Tan card stock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then used an oval Spellbinders die to cut out the center.  I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the embossing to give it a leathery and aged look.  I stamped the buffalo onto Corn Husk then colored it with Copic markers.  I completed the card by using gold Smooch around the inside of the oval and adding four brads.  The stamp set, card stock, Spellbinders dies, Tim Holtz distress inks, Copic markers, and Smooch can all be purchased from Mark's Finest Papers.

Today we are celebrating the release of two sets:  "Brick Wall" and "Bells on Bobtail."

Here are three small 3 inch square cards that I made using the "Brick Wall" stamp set.  The floral vine stamp makes a perfect background stamp.  I simply stamped the flower onto each card with the coordinating ink (Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Soft Suede on Crumb Cake).  I stamped the sentiments in black ink then completed the cards by adding coordinating ribbon.

For this card, I used the "Bells on Bobtail" stamp set.  I wanted to play off of the vintage feel of the sleigh and horse image, so I used vintage-style patterned papers by October Afternoon.  I stamped the image in black, then used Tim Holtz Distress inks to give the image an aged look.  To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment and added a snowflake made with a Martha Stewart punch.
