Argyle Scottie

I made this card for IC268 at Splitcoastampers. I was inspired by this Japan Ken Doll from the Barbie website: http://www.barbiecollector.com/shop/...oll#doll24-175 Doesn't the top of Ken's hair look like the top of the Scottie's head? This card was pretty quick and easy. I used a rhinestone Scottie sticker that I got in the $1 bin at Michaels.

Sew, What's New?

I made this card for FS207 at Splitcoastampers. I cased this card from Artsy Em: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...;ppuser=225572 I kept the same layout and color scheme. I changed the images from chairs to thimbles. I changed the placement of the ribbon, then added score lines above and below the thimbles. I used the "Sew What?" stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers.

Apple A Day

I made this card for FS207 at Splitcoaststampers.  I chose to case this card by Artsy Em: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1778454?&cat=500&ppuser=225572
I kept the same basic color scheme. I changed the shapes, ribbon, and stamp set. I used the "Apples and Camellia" stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers. The card stock colors used are Cool Caribbean, Real Red, Marigold Morning, and Crumb Cake by Stampin Up.

Class Act

I made this card with the newly-released "Gleefully Yours" stamp set by Gina K Designs.  It is a fun and versatile music-themed stamp set.  I stamped the piano in Versamark then embossed it with black embossing powder.  The patterned papers are from Echo Park.  I completed the card by adding the sentiment, ribbons, and a metal rhinestone brad.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
1.  Stamp TV sketch challenge STVSKSP9
2.  Splitcoastampers TLC308-silhouettes

Caterpillar Hugs

I made this card with the "Caterpillar Hug" digital image from the Doodle Pantry.  I used two different Sizzix heart embossing folders for the background panels.  I used the colors for Splitcoaststampers CC306- Pear Pizazz, Bravo Burgundy, and Baja Breeze.  The sketch is from the Card Patterns Sketch Challenge #99.  I am also entering this in FEB11VSNMINI5 at Splitcoaststampers.  We were to use an image where something is entwined.

Nutty for You

I made this card with the new "Nutty for You" digital set from the Doodle Pantry.  I copied and pasted the sentiment multiple times onto the background panel.  I used one of the pre-colored squirrel images.  These are nice when you are in a hurry or if you don't feel like coloring.  I used my new Spellbinders heart die and highlighted it with red ink.  I completed this love/Valentine's card by adding a heart rhinestone and gingham ribbon.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
1.  F4A48-phrases at Splitcoastampers
2.  Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges-anything goes
3.  Totally Papercrafts- add a heart

I made this quick and easy card for CAS102 at Splitcoastampers.  It was a sketch inspired clean and simple challenge.  I used a tic tac toe stamp from Great Impressions and a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers.  I finished off the card by popping up red hearts and adding red and white gingham ribbon at the top of the card.

Pets are all Heart

I made this card for FS206 at Splitcoaststampers.  Here is the card that I cased: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1556123?&cat=500&ppuser=165520
I kept the same layout and color scheme, but changed the center of the card.  For this card, I combined a sentiment from the "More of Speedy the Cat's Friends" set and the cat silhouette from the "Tweet Blessing" set, both by Mark's Finest Papers.  This will make a perfect Valentine's Day card for one of my fellow cat lovers.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges:
1.  Speedy the Cat's Friends #38-use hearts
2.  Stampin Sisters in Christ #72 -new (I used my new Spellbinders heart die and new Valentine's papers)

Doggie and Kitty Love

I made this card with a Stampworks dog stamp I purchased last week at a used stamp store.  I made this card for Splitcoaststampers F4A47-texturize me and Stamp TV's sketch challenge STVSKSP8.  I am also entering this card in the Wags n Whiskers "with love" challenge.  I used three different embossing folders for this card.  I stamped the doggie and colored him with Copics.  I completed the card by adding a sentiment and putting a heart in his mouth.

I made this card for sketch challenge SC315 at Splitcoaststampers.  The stamp is a sweet kitty stamp from Penny Black.  Isn't he a handsome boy?  I think that due to the size of this stamp, when I use it next time, I will make a larger square card for a better balance.  Oh, well.

For this month's blog hop, I decided not to make any standard-sized cards.  The "Floral Tea" stamp set has so many uses.  Today, I decorated a tall bandage box by EK Success.  This tin is the perfect size for for tea bags.  It can be used to a gift for tea-lovers or even to keep on your desk at work to store tea bags.  I used patterned paper to wrap around the tin then I punched Bravo Burgundy paper with a Martha Stewart punch for the upper and lower borders.  I stamped the tea cup onto patterned paper then colored it in with Copic markers.  To complete the tin, I added the sentiment and half-pearls to simulate steam.

Today we are featuring the "Sew What?" stamp set:
For this month's Blog Hop, I decided not to make any standard-sized cards.  I used the "Sew What?" stamp set to make this sewing tin.  This is such a wonderful sewing-themed set!  I used a recycled mint container for the tin.  I embossed and masked the spool and thimble.  I used a blue embossing powder for the words.  I completed the tin by doing faux stitching around the edges and adding a decorative plastic needle on the front.  This little tin would be perfect for keeping a few needles, buttons, and small spools of thread close and handy.

Today we are featuring the "Happy Pansies" stamp set:

For this month's blog hop, I have decided not to make any standard-sized cards.  Today, I made a purse-shaped card using an Accucut die and Accucut die cutter.  I used the "Happy Pansies" set to stamp with Versamark and emboss with black embossing powder.  I colored in the flowers and ladybug with Copic markers.  I completed the outside of the card by adding a large gem sticker from Jolee's.  Because of the beauty of the flower stamp and the font on the sentiment, I did not think that the card needed anything else.

Here's the inside of the purse card.  I stamped the single pansy several times with tone-on-tone pink.  I finished it off with another sentiment.  Whether you color the flowers in or not, the flowers look equally elegant.

Today we are featuring the "In the Forest" stamp set:
For this month's blog hop, I decided not to make traditional size cards.  Today, I used the "In the Forest" stamp set to make a three-inch card and a coordinating gift bag.  I made the gift bag with an Accucut die, but there are several tutorials online about how to make your own bags without a special die.  For the card and bag, I stamped the bunny in black ink onto SU's Blushing Bride card stock.  The other papers used are SU's Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz.  For the gift bag, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the bag, and a Martha Stewart punch to make the grass.  I completed each project by adding ribbon that I purchased for in the dollar bin at Michael's.  This bunny stamp is so versatile, especially with Easter and Spring around the corner.

I am not on the blog hop list today, so head over to the Mark's Finest Paper's Blog to see the lineup for today's hop.

Be sure to join us tomorrow for day 2 of the Blog Hop!

Today is new release day and the start of a new challenge at the Doodle Pantry Blog. All you need to do is to create a card using a Doodle Pantry image. Head over to the Doodle Pantry blog to see all the challenge details and to see the wonderful new digital releases.
I made these Valentine's with the new Critter Toppers from the Doodle Pantry.  They are so fun and cute!  You can use them to hang over cards, shapes, or treat bags.  For the sheep and bunny, I used the pre-colored images which was so quick and easy.  For the cat image, I used the un-colored version and colored it with Copic markers.  I used Spellbinders heart dies and a Sizzix small hearts embossing folder.  The sentiment is also from the Doodle Pantry.  Every year I made classroom Valentine's for my son and nieces and this is the design I plan to use this year.
